Senior Landscape Architect – NewScape NSW

• Full-time position commencing August 2018
• Botany Road, Alexandria – 5 min walk from Redfern Station, Sydney

Are you a landscape architect with 5 years experience looking for the next step in your Landscape Architecture career? We are looking for a Senior Landscape Architect to join our team and fill a key role within our growing studio.

NewScape is an award winning design studio specialising in design for National Parks and natural outdoor spaces. We have a strong background in design and documentation, trail network design, project management and landscape management.

The Role:

• Client liaison
• Project management involvement – time, budget and sub consultant management
• Primary production role with regular design input
• Management of junior team members
• Assistance will submissions
• Quality assurance monitoring of project output
• On-site meetings (this will include multi-day hikes on occasion)

Applicants should have:

• Completed a degree in Landscape Architecture
• 5 years minimum experience working as a landscape architect
• Excellent skills in design and documentation
• Superior communication skills (graphic, verbal and written)
• Proficiency Adobe Creative Suite and CAD software (Vectorworks experience would be an advantage)
• Ability to think creatively
• Understanding the restraints of designing for remote areas
• Love of nature and outdoor recreation
• Ability to work independently
• Positive attitude
• Drivers license
