Interpretive Sculptures

NewScape developed concept designs for interpretive artworks at Deriah Aboriginal Area, near Mount Kaputar in north-western NSW. It was envisaged that the artworks would interpret Aboriginal stories and reinforce the significance of the site to the local Aboriginal community.

The designs included a number of large-scale native animal sculptures made from folded steel plate, a stylised turkey’s nest and a series of bronze plaques that explain the meaning of the Deriah logo.
